Haven't seen it posted here yet, but Sara Shane discovered and well
photographed a state first Yellow-eyed Junco at Scott State Park yesterday
afternoon (
https://ebird.org/checklist/S75759615). I can't really overstate
how unprecedented this find is, it's well over 400 miles past the closest
vagrant sighting of this SE Arizona Chiricahua specialty and by far the
northernmost record ever. Certainly on equal levels with the Piratic
Flycatcher that showed up there a few years ago. I have not heard any
reports from people trying to refind it today.
