Dickcissel near Larkspur, Douglas County

Hello Fellow Birders,

 

   Another Dickcissel sighting to add to the long list this year.  While checking bluebird/swallow nestboxes just west of Spruce Mountain Road about two miles south of Larkspur three of us encountered a singing male Dickcissel.  He gave us great looks, turning a couple times atop his mullein to ensure we saw him from all angles.  A lifer for one of our crew!
