Most brilliant upslope bird: Bullock's Oriole

I've had a large influx of migrating sparrows during the upslope-- a fact that might reflect the make-up of my yard. It consists of many native shrubs and smaller plants and few trees.  In the past few days, the ground has literally been moving with sparrows (Chipping, Lincoln's, White-crowned, House, and both Green-tailed and Spotted Towhees.

This was the most handsome bird, giving me the "eye":
