Hi All,

I have about 1000 rosy finches in the yard (all three species), also
have Evening Grosbeaks, Cassin's Finches and American Gold Finches.

We have about a foot of snow here which is the reason for the finches
being here.

Normally this time of year we have a Northern Shrike that intimidates
the finches, but it may be a low year for shrikes because for the first
time in 15 years of living here we have finches and no shrikes in December.

Hi All,
The rosy finches are in the yard again. Both brown-capped and a few
blacks. No gray-crowns seen today.
The birds are normally here at first light, then again about 3:00 in the
afternoon.
