Today's total of 45 new birds included 17 species. Highlights were Canyon Towhee and Cassin's Vireo. Both species are first for the year. The Canyon Towhee had a couple youngsters in tow. The Adult and one hatching year bird were caught in the net, banded, and released unharmed (as are all the other birds we handle). No birds were recaptured from previous week's banding effort.
