A of yesterday at 4pm the scoter was still present and close to the south shore. No sign of the many Surf Scoters that were seen on the day before Halloween, but winds were nasty so who knows. Also the Brant was at still at Houts in Loveland at 5:30pm, sadly I think it will be it's last stop...

Just to clarify my first post today. I was insinuating the Brant could die there. It had a slight limp yesterday and has been in the same 100 yard radius the last few times I've been out there. I could be totally wrong in saying this but it just seems like easy prey... Of course I hope this is not the case!

Do you think it will die there or that it won't be seen farther south?
Not sure what you meant, Cade.

The Brant looked quite lively as it swam about around noon today.

After searching for three hours this morning, I was finally able to re-find the Black Scoter at Timnath Reservoir today (Saturday) around noon. It was in the northeast end, a long scope view from the old concrete boat ramp on the northern part of the west side.

Thanks,
