to Colorado Birds
Ben Sampson and I saw what appear to be two Red-shouldered Hawks in Logan County. The first bird was found by John Vanderpoel and William Kaempfer. The second bird was photographed separately and with the other RSHA. I am not sure what two (JUVENILE) RSHA in Colorado could mean but it was a great sight. The best views of the birds are from Jumbo Res and they were flying across the road along the reservoir. A Red-tailed Hawk soared with them at one point and the size difference was very apparent. Attached are the images.
