Wilson's Warblers really determine if we see a big migration at our Barr banding station; it is almost always the most frequently caught species by far.  Today we had our 3rd day with 100 or more birds banded, and in all 3 cases it was possible because of the numbers of WIWAs caught.  Today there were 83 of them, and we finally are starting to see numerous adults (which generally come through after the hatch years).   We also had lots of other good captures, for a total of 123 new birds:

Red-naped Sapsucker 1 (only the 4th caught in the past 20 years)

Western Wood-pewee 4

Hammond's Flycatcher 1

Dusky Flycatcher 1

Western Flycatcher 1

Northern House Wren 3

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2

American Robin 1 (FOS)

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1
