Hi COBirders,

The sparrow/finch onslaught continues at Clear Spring Ranch, where this week I’ve banded 175 Chipping Sparrows, 20 Back-headed Grosbeaks, 3 Blue Grosbeaks, 25 Lazuli Buntings, 2 Indigo Buntings, 4 Clay-colored Sparrows, and 5 Savannah Sparrows.

Warblers today included another Northern Waterthrush (hatch-year), and a NOWA recapture - banded last week but still hanging around. Also 2 MacGillivray’s Warblers, 2 Wilson’s Warblers, and a continuing passage of Yellow Warblers.
