Pueblo, (Pueblo County) birding today 19 March 2016, along with the Hugh and Urling Kingery, Mark Yaeger, and the Denver Audubon Master Birders, we saw a male Yellow-headed Blackbird, Curve-billed Thrashers, Great-tailed Grackles, Scaled Quail, a female Lesser Goldfinch in Pueblo West, Osprey (five), American White Pelicans, Horned Grebes, Common Loon (two), Canyon Towhees, Franklin's Gull (which I missed), Say's Phoebes, Mountain Bluebirds, Loggerhead Shrikes at Pueblo Reservoir, a Tree Swallow, a Black Phoebe, Ladder-backed Woodpeckers, Bewick's Wrens, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Cooper's Hawk all below Pueblo Reservoir dam (near Cottonwood Picnic Area parking lot).
We saw about 60 species of birds, and it was snowing some of the time. A good day for the northern people, as most of the Pueblo specialty birds appeared.
