Highlights of an all-day visit with Janeal Thompson on 2November to Blue Lake (aka Adobe Creek Res in the DeLorme Atlas):

Bonaparte's Gull (16)

Northern Shrike (2 immatures)

Common Loon (1)

Black-bellied Plover (2)

American Golden-Plover (1)

American Avocet (5)

Hooded Merganser (6)

Clark's Grebe (at least 1)

Lapland Longspur (at least 10 flyovers heard, both "teew" and rattle)


Great majority of waterfowl in the southwest portion of the res.  Still several White Pelicans present.  No Sandhill Cranes.  No scoters.


Lewis's Woodpecker on Bent CR14 near KK (few miles north of Highway 50)
