After reading Ted's post, I headed to the 75th St. bridge over Boulder arriving about 1:05 pm. Creek. As luck would have it , both phoebes were flycatching and pumping their tails in trees by the creek west of the bridge. Soon , the E. Phoebe stopped to gather nesting material and flew under the bridge to work on her? nest. The Black Phoebe continued to flycatch from low bushes and rocks in the creek until it was east of the bridge.
At this time neither bird is visible.
A few minutes ago the two nesting redtails were courting very high, nearly in a cloud, in a thermal.
