After coming back from an essential service trip, stopped off to look for the widgeon with no luck. There was already a white truck there (hunters?) that may have scared it away. At another pond further west, though, ran into a flock of greater white-fronted geese! I counted 112 of them. I'm used to seeing 1 or 2 in large flocks of Canada goose, but never a large flock by themselves. There was also a nice pintail male in the pond.
