Cobirders,
After completing my Great Divide BBS route in Moffat County last Monday (with 20 Greater Sage-Grouse!), I drove up and spent about 3 hours searching around in decent looking habitat for Steve and Alec's Black-backed Woodpecker. Strangely, I only had one woodpecker - a female Hairy that never made a sound. Lots of the usual suspects and a roadside Dusky Grouse (Year Bird) were found but nothing unusual. I did fail to get the GPS point from Alec but did see a photo he had and think I was in the right area. Of course it was late afternoon and warm. This place is definitely worth spending some time if anyone can do it. Sorry for the late post.
