American Woodcock, El Paso Co, warning

For those of you going to Fountain Creek Nature Center for the Woodcock:

 

There have been numerous break-ins at the north parking lot, including our vehicle. 

It is much better to go a bit further south  and park at the Visitor Centre where there are security cameras. The center is open Wednesday through Saturday. It takes a bit longer to get to the Woodcock and Winter Wren area but it's much safer. I have not heard of break-ins at the Visitor Center.
