US 287/385 south of Lamar

I write as a public service to the presumed hordes that will soon descend upon southeast CO.  There are signs stating that road work will begin on the highway S of Lamar in “April 2019” between mile markers 50 and 60 in southern Prowers Co.  Additionally, there is ongoing road work in Lamar just N of where US 50 turns E onto Olive Rd.

Other road work in SE Colorado, people might be interested in, Hwy 71, between Ordway (Crowley County) and Rocky Ford (Otero) is closed all spring and summer (I believe) -- they are repairing the bridge over the Arkansas River there.  This isn't a big deal, unless you need to get from Lake Henry or Lake Meredith, to Rocky Ford in a hurry, then it could be an issue.

The know the birding hordes will be invading SE Colorado in early May, as usual.
