Standley Lake Question - Jefferson County

I used to live near Standley Lake and birded there quite often.  I hadn't been there in years since I've moved, but I stopped by today just for a few minutes while I was on my way somewhere else.  I only had binoculars, so I couldn't really scope it very well, but I did see at least four loons, all of them gave the impression of Common Loon.  I was just wondering if anyone has had an opportunity to really look at what is out there.
