The riparian strip along the irrigation ditch behind my house is usually very quiet, so when the birds are hopping, it suggests a fallout. The main species present this morning were Wilson's Warblers (20 or so), Western Wood-Pewee (4), and vireos (3 species including Red-eyed, Warbling and probable Cassin's). There was also a Mourning Warbler and a MacGillivray's Warbler, both present since yesterday. The Mourning was photographed and low quality images can be viewed in my Recent Bird Photos gallery at
www.pbase.com/quetzal. All the birds were viewed from public property. For directions, contact me off-line.
