Hi COBirders,
I was at CSR this morning prepping for the spring banding season. In the flooded field next to the access road there were hundreds of Red-winged Blackbirds, dozens of Yellow-headed Blackbirds, and 10+ White-faced Ibis and Mallards. Not much is to be seen in the willows yet.
Not that many are likely to walk the mile North on the muddy road to the Little Fountain Creek crossing, but the area is under heavy construction as they are replacing the culverts that were damaged the last couple of springs. It looks like they could be at it for a couple weeks.
Ready for songbirds,
Steve Brown
