I was thinking about our three fruit-eaters that were spectacularly irrupting this winter - Bohemian, Cedar and Robin - and how they have now irrupted, past tense. I think they must have eaten everything ;-)
Here are eBird abundance charts for these species in Jefferson, Douglas and Arapahoe counties, showing the recent 5 years for each. Note how exceptional 2023 was for each species relative to 2019-2022. But numbers of all three dropped off greatly by mid March. It was a remarkable situation this past season. Now it is time for spring.
