Today was a good good day with a variety of birds with some special captures including a male Golden-winged Warbler (Handsome dude), and 2 returning Lazuli Buntings (male 4+ years old) and a female Lazuli Bunting at least 3 years old. Both Buntings were banded as adults so they could be years older than when originally banded. Twenty bird species were captured including seven warbler species and three flycatcher species.

The last Golden-winged Warbler to be banded at Chico was 2 birds in May 2012 and one in May of 2002.
