Hi All,

Have had Broad-winged Hawks now and then for several years overhead here. However, yesterday around 1 p.m. had 2 soaring above (not going from point A to point B).They both are dark morph adults.  Today had 2 soaring above and one that looked like a juvenile (maybe 1st year) perched in a tree near the wetlands back of my house underneath the soaring adults at 8:30 a.m.

This may not be of interest, but after reading my CO Breeding Bird Atlas it looks like they haven't been confirmed as breeding here of late. So I'm posting in case it is of interest.  They can probably best be seen around Marker No. 3 on the Loveland Big Thompson River trail, west of Taft.  The underpass under Taft is closed due to high water.

If further info. is  needed, feel free to call  970-635-9095.
