The past few days American Robins have been roosting in the Olive Grove where the banding station is located. Today they flew where some of our nets were set up. American Robin is the number one species caught. a light northerly wind produced a nice diversity of birds totaling 19 species. New species for the season were Hermit Thrush and Cassin's Vireo. A few recaptures supporting some birds stuck around for a few days. The long-distance migrants either gained weight or lost one to 2 tenths of a gram from the last capture on Saturday.
