This was our first morning having our a cup of coffee under the covered porch. Amongst all the "regular" calls was one that was vaguely familiar. I tried numerous times to find a matching call on my phone...but to no avail. Finally started taking the breakfast dishes back inside. Paul came running back the the house saying "Polly come quick, grab your camera...there is a White-eyed Vireo in the yard!" Turns out that was the call we had been hearing but were unable to figure out. Have posted photos to CFO Facebook page as well as my own. This is a new Colorado bird for the both of us and yard bird #164.

Have finally decided to report it, even though it is on the checklist for Huerfano County...and according to CBRC...there is no need to report it for Huerfano County...but when I "created a query" for records...there a none listed for Huerfano. A little confusing...still a great bird for us.
