to Colorado Birds
Hi all
While birding northcentral Weld at Lone Tree Creek crossing at Weld CR 100 I "accidentally" photoed the Harris's Sparrow again. I was trying to photo other sparrows and saw one at edge of Willows (I think) so I snapped a photo to review later in car. Turns out the immature Harris's Sparrow I had here about month ago remains. Looks like same bird. Also, he flew to back of riparian area and started to sing crazily again like last time.
Birds seen:
Willet - 4 [Crom Lake, Pierce, Weld]
Marbled Godwit - 4 [Crom Lake, Pierce, Weld]
"Peeps" - 13 [Crom Lake, Pierce, Weld] -- still have to review photos looked to be Least and Western
Harris's, Chipping, White-crowned, and Clay-colored Sparrow [Lone Tree Creek at Weld CR 110, Nunn, Weld]
Great-tailed Grackle - 4 [Woods Lake, Severance, Weld]
Black-crowned Night Heron - 9 (they seem to be returning after mysterious disappearance five years ago) [Glenmere Park, Greeley, Weld]
Black-necked Stilt [Stewart's Pond/Marsh, La Salle, Weld]
34 species along Poudre River Trail (Island Grove to 23rd Ave)
New: House Wren, Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Cliff Swallow
