Pueblo birds March 6-7

Some of the winter birds continue around Pueblo over this past weekend.

Pueblo Reservoir:
2 Red-necked Grebes
2-3 Common Loons
1 ad Great Black-backed Gull (should be leaving soon)

Pueblo West Gravel Pit:
4 Long-tailed Ducks
1 male Barrow's Goldeneye
1 juvenile Iceland (Thayer's) Gull
1 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull
1 Peregrine Falcon 
1 Mexican Duck

Swallows SWA:
Hundreds of ducks, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Green-winged Teal, and Redhead, seemed to be the most numerous duck species on Saturday.  Cinnamon Teal also present.
