Pectoral Sandpiper, Red-necked Phalarope at Jackson Reservoir

I visited Jackson Res this morning and early afternoon. I spent most of my time walking from the northeast to the northwest edge of the reservoir. Among the hundreds of Baird's Sandpipers were a smattering of Pectorals as well as at least one each Semipalmated, Western and Least Sandpipers. There was also one Semipalmated Plover and at least three Red-necked Phalaropes.

Dave Cameron's long horns were still there along with short horns, medium horns, drooping horns and corkscrew horns. It was the most motley herd of cows I've seen. 

By the time I got to the park side of the lake to look for warblers, etc it was afternoon and activity was light. There was Red-eyed Vireo near the Visitor Center as well as a Yellow and Townsend's Warbler. In the campground areas were about 6 Wilson's Warblers. 

The north edge of the reservoir was very lively with shorebirds, but the east side looked even more crowded. Saving that for another day.
