American Woodcocks (2) - Bobcat Ridge NA, Larimer County

As previously reported by Cole Wild on Jan 4., two American Woodcocks were present again today (this time, observed together) at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area. 

While the Ranger, Carl, and I were watching an American Woodcock forage in the stream around 3:40 PM, Carl noticed that a second bird was present on the opposite side of the stream, about 5 ft. away from the first.  The birds remained in the same place, within 5-10 ft. of one another, sometimes motionless, sometimes foraging, and were still present when we departed at 4:45.
