Hybrid Bufflehead/Com. Goldeneye - Walker Pit, Franktown, Douglas

This morning we saw a hybrid Bufflehead/Com. Goldeneye, identical to one we saw last winter. It dove into the Walker gravel pond among a big flock of Cackling Geese. If you want to get a look at it, you probably will need a scope.

It has the body of a goldeneye, a heart-shaped white face, and a greenish cap.
