Hi all,

Bill Maynard, Nick Moore, and I birded together today at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) this morning.

Banding Station in El Paso County:
Hooded Warbler - 1 singing male
Black-and-white Warbler - 1 singing male
American Redstart - 1 adult male
"Western" Flycatcher - 1 (photographed)
other empids

Headquarter Willows in Pueblo County:
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
Ovenbird - 1
Veery - 1
Gray Flycatcher - 1

Headquarter Pond, Pueblo County:
Glossy Ibis - 1
White-rumped Sandpiper - 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Snow Goose - 1

Rose Pond, Pueblo County:
Horned Grebe - 1

I forgot a couple of other noteworthy birds from today.

At the Headquarters, there was a singing White-winged Dove, and at the banding station, Nick Moore found a first for Chico Basin Ranch of White-throated Swift.  A single bird flying over with swallows just before 11:50am this morning.  All of us were able to photograph it.  According to Bill Maynard, this is 333rd species of bird for Chico Basin Ranch and first new bird this year so far!
