A flock of Cassin's finches chased off the grackles from my feeders this afternoon--4 males, 9 females, in bright plumage, males with full rosy wash over the back. As many Cassins as I can ever remember seeing at once.

We had 3 male and 5 female Cassin's at our feeder most of today.    Our last Cassin's visit (1 male, 2 female) was on the same day Alan and Davis (NW of Lyons) reported them about a month ago.   Great fun!

Yep, I just counted over 75 Cassin’s finches around my house in Pine Brook Hills, Boulder! Never seen more thank 2 here. They’re all over the roads.
Crossbills feeding above them were a treat too!

We've had a good size flock of 12-14 Cassin's coming to our feeders in central Boulder.  First time for them at feeders.

I’ve had upwards of 50 Cassin’s Finches here at my feeders west of Fort Collins yesterday and today. Did realize how many they were until they took to the air!

Cassin’s Finches everywhere. I had a flock of 45+ in the trees around our place in N. Boulder. Males and Females on my feeders. The most I have seen at one time. Goldfinches and Yellow-Rumps (myrtle) were in the trees with them as well. When they really get going with the singing and calling it is a wonderful sound to hear!

Today near Storm Mountain in Larimer Cty we have about 30 Cassin’s finches, mostly females, 15 juncos, 6 siskins and a dozen Evening grosbeaks. Plus the usual crows and magpies. Certainly looks like there’s a lot of Cassin’s finches about! – Dave/nr Storm Moutain
