Little Blue Heron at Walden Ponds and Common Nighthawk sightings hereabouts

This morning I had a juvenile Little Blue Heron along with 4 Snowy Egret at Walden Ponds. Shorebirds included 4 Solitary Sandpipers, 2 Least Sandpiper, 18 Wilson's Snipe, a Lesser Yellowlegs, and lots of Killdeer. Last night Patrick Bohan had 20+ Common Nighthawk at Golden Ponds in Longmont and on Friday I had 6 of them along the Eagle Wind trail at Rabbit Mountain.   Good August Birding All,           Carl Starace,  Niwot
