Nashville Warbler and Northern Waterthrush, Boulder County

Early this morning, there was a singing Nashville Warbler along South Boulder Creek, in the "off limits" area just upstream of the South Mesa Trailhead.  (This trailhead is along Hwy 170 east of Eldorado Springs.)  It sang for about 3 minutes.  I lingered another 20 min but never got views from the publicly-accessible area.  The area wasn't particularly birdy (unfortunately, no fox sparrow found), but a Bullock's Oriole did show up for a while.

At Golden Ponds in Longmont late this morning, I heard and then Peter Burke spotted a Northern Waterthrush.  It was along the creek about 150 yards upstream of the bridge.  Golden Ponds still has lots of Yellow-Rumped Warblers, and other new migrants include Western Tanager (2), Yellow Warbler (2), Orange-Crowned Warbler (6), and Lazuli Bunting (1).
