The Solitaires arrived! We heard one tooting 3 days ago; counted 2 and 4 the next 2 days, and so far 2 today. A few of them singing.
This morning two Eastern Bluebirds perched on a power line in a neighbor's yard, flew down to snare something, and then flew on. Probably at least one yesterday, but not a decent look like todays.
A Rock Wren in our courtyard this morning, and a couple about a week ago near the bluebird power line.
Otherwise a mostly normal collection. No migrant juncos yet (only 2 Gray-headed). In our yard Blue Jays have decided that they like our acorn crop, and our feeders. We have at least 6 scrub-jays, 6 Steller's, and a bunch of magpies.
On another neighbor's driveway, where we walk many mornings, we count up to 20 Pygmy Nuthatches each time. A lingering catbird (not today); a few Wilson's Warblers (3-8), but no other warblers (even though I keep thinking Townsend's or Orange-crowned).
