Trumpeter Swan, Mesa County

A Trumpeter Swan was on the Colorado River near the DeBeque Canyon Tunnel this afternoon (https://ebird.org/hotspot/L4646093). This is the same spot where one has wintered in previous years.

I saw the 2 Trumpeter Swans Sept 7, 2020 while heading east on 1-70 at the parking turn off that goes around the tunnel.  Hopefully nothing has happened to the other mate.
