to CoBirds Rare Bird Alert
was seen again at 4:30 PM Friday by half a dozen observers in thickly falling snow (of course, it's a snow bunting!). The location is east of the coordinates reported by Myron Gerhart, about 100 yards west of I 70 viewed from the bike path along Clear Creek. Park in the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt parking lot just east of Youngfield and walk west along the bike path under I 70. The bird was seen on the water's edge of a 15 yard long narrow peninsula projecting diagonally into the creek from the south side.

To add to this, myself and two others did observe it as it hopped into the lower branches of a tree near the waters edge and preen. About 6 chickadees gathered around it out of curiosity and were calling. Don't exclude the nearby trees in your search, and carefully look around areas that other birds seem interested in! Good luck.
