Cool banding day at Barr - Started the morning with a BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER (first at the station since 2002), ended with a FOS and perhaps only Rock Wren, and in between caught our FOS Brewer's Sparrow and Yellow-rumped Warbler.  Banded 44 birds:

Rock Wren 1
House Wren 3
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher 1
American Robin 1 (FOS)
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler 1 (hatch year male)
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1
Wilson's Warbler 25
Green-tailed Towhee 2
Brewer's Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 3
House Sparrow 2

Open tomorrow (Sat), then closed Sun and Mon, then open Tues through Sat next week.  We have been closing early (around 11 a.m.) because of the heat.
