Greetings

Joe's American Wigeon is likely a variant that is rare, percentage-wise, among this species.

I've made a moderate attempt to capture one of these fellas with my camera for some time. My best effort, somewhat mediocre, can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/36088296@N08/6463227729/in/photostream along with commentary.

Best Wishes

I rather like the name waterfowlers use for this form: Storm Wigeon.  I inadvertently photographed one in the background while focussing on a European Wigeon in Pueblo a few years ago:  http://schmoker.org/BirdPics/Photos/Waterfowl/EUWI39.jpg
