Later in the morning I saw what was very likely the same 2 Eastern Phoebes along the west side (JeffCo) of Kingfisher Bridge. I checked the area near the Plum Creek Picnic Area, but did not find any phoebes there...just lots of mud

There were about 22 Am. White Pelicans at Chatfield Res, and at least 10 Franklin's Gulls, 1 Am. Avocet and 1 Greater Yellowlegs flying around, 1 Osprey, 4 Eared Grebes and 6 Horned Grebes. 1 Northern Harrier along the road to Plum Creek Nature Area.  A moderate assortment of ducks were mostly in the area between the marina and the North Boat Launch.

A Burrowing Owl was in the southern part of the prairie dog town near the eastern entrance to Chatfield. And 1 Burrowing Owl was along Roxborough Road (CR 3) at 1.3 miles south of Titan Road. This area formerly had a large prairie dog colony (and more owls), but today and on a prior visit a couple weeks ago I did not see any prairie dogs here at all. Have they been removed in advance of the pending development? Or have I gone deaf and blind? (or both)

Another Vesper Sparrow was at Hildebrand Ranch Park. Waterfowl numbers are much reduced at Hine Lake, but 1 Greater Scaup continued there today.

Sterling Ranch has gassed all the prairie dogs and then plowed over the burrow entrances.

Sterling Ranch can be found on Yelp.  I just posted this information there, along with a rebuke.
