Just For Teens

Be sure to get your favorite teenagers involved in birding and conservation with our upcoming Teen Naturalists programs!

Sunday, September 20, “How Weather Affects Bird Migration in the Front Range”

We will spend the morning at Lagerman reservoir looking for migrating birds. We’ll discuss where they may have come from, the weather that affects their passage and stopover, and the gap in our understanding of bird migration related to weather. Details and registration:

Sunday, October 11, “A Glimpse at a Unique Boulder Habitat - White Rocks Nature Preserve”

The area is host to a bald eagle nest, rare plants and a rare lizard that are found nowhere else in Boulder County. We’ll keep an eye out for fossils and view the creek scenery that will be at the height of fall color change in this unique sand prairie ecosystem. Details and registration: https://www.boulderaudubon.org/all-events/tn-oct2026-white-rocks

We’re continually updating the Field Trips page on our website, so check back often for new bird walks and outings: https://www.boulderaudubon.org/all-events?category=Field%20Trips

See you on the trail!
