Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Report, 10/3/24

Well, we got the cooler weather we had expected and hoped for today, but along with it WIND.  Almost no bird activity.  Started closing nets after an hour, and closed down completely by 10:20.  Disappointing!  Here are the 7 birds banded:

Red-shafted Flicker 1

Hermit Thrush 1

Orange-crowned Warbler 1

Chipping Sparrow 1

Lincoln's Sparrow 1

White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1

Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

Weather permitting, we are banding Tuesday through Sunday mornings (closed Mondays).  There is a public session most weekday mornings from 7:30-8:30, and three time slots on weekends, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m.  There is a $7 fee and registration is required – click here to register!
