Overall, a pretty average day with continued diversity of species. We brought up our species total to 23 by adding Western Tanager, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Cassin’s Vireo.


13 Newly Banded Birds:

Black-capped Chickadee: 1

Lincoln’s Sparrow: 1

Northern House Wren: 2

Song Sparrow: 1

Virginia’s Warbler: 1

Wilson’s Warbler: 4

Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 1

Cassin’s Vireo: 1

Western Tanager: 1

 

4 Recaptured Birds

American Robin: 1

Black-capped Chickadee: 1

Gray Catbird: 1

Wilson’s Warbler: 1

 


The station will operate Tuesday-Saturday from ~6:30a-noon until September 13th.  

We’re located at Ridgway State Park (Dallas Creek entrance). Turn left and park at the end of the road at the confluence parking lot. We are located on the on the east side of the walking bridge. Feel free to stop by when we’re around!
