to Colorado Birds
Our numbers were lower today, with only seven birds, but on the very first net run we did get a first-of-season, and first-of-station Mourning Warbler!  This warbler is rarely seen in Western Colorado and was very exciting for me to see in person. Pictures are included at the end of this post.

Wilson's Warbler 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1
Mourning Warbler 1 (FOS)
White-crowned Sparrow 2 (including one return banded in a previous year)

We are open every day starting at about 7:30 and closing at around 11:00.  If you want to see birds, arrive before 9:30, especially on warm days! Public banding day is September 28th.
