Lyons walk this morning from Picture Rock Trailhead and Parking area down Old Saint Vrain Road to the end by the bridge and back. Approximately 8 am to 12:30 pm. Ran into several birding groups. Here's what I saw and counted:

The gray catbirds and yellow warblers take the prize for most vocal.

Golden Eagle - 1 adult feeding two chicks on nest above the soccer field - easy to see
Mountain Chickadee - 1
Yellow Warbler - 2
Barn Swallow - 4

So nothing out of the ordinary, but sure was nice to see all the orioles and tanagers and grosbeaks.
