The bobolinks have returned for another year to the open space south and east of the junction of South Boulder and Cherryvale
Roads in Boulder County. Several males were present this afternoon (June 28) at 5:05 p.m. offering good views in flight and perched near the road. As always, beware of the roadside vegetation - poison ivy is abundant in this area. But friendlier flora can also be found as Utes Lady Tresses bloom here later in the summer.
