El Paso County: Bald Eagles at Big Johnson Reservoir

Jon Rouse and I were at BJR, attempting to find the Pacific Loon.

No luck on that one.

We did witness an amazing sight, at least it was to me.

Two Bald Eagles were almost over the parking area/metal gate area of the reservoir.

They put on a show that was breath-taking.

Diving on the water, playing in the air, getting chased by a hawk, ganging up on the hawk and chasing it away.

Amazing!  Absolutely amazing!

Tried to get good photos, but they wouldn't hold still!     :) just kidding.
