Hi all,
Keita Sin and I birded the Lyons area this morning. The continuing overcast weather made for good birding, with lots of late migrants.
At Rabbit Mountain a Green-tailed Towhee was hanging on in the large flock of White-crowned and Chipping Sparrows.
Along South St. Vrain Road in Lyons was a western Palm Warbler, a MacGillivray's Warbler, two Lewis's Woodpeckers, and at least 44 (!!) Hermit Thrushes. A late Broad-winged Hawk soared southward.
Fentress Lake just north of Boulder had hundreds of ducks, though nothing rare.
