Osprey & more at BCLP - Jefferson County

2 PM today:

Osprey flying over with a very big fish, seemed to be half his size, landed in the dead trees just west of Mt Carbon. Caused quite a stir among the prairie dogs.

 Other birds included:

at least 12 Western Grebes

1 Pied-billed Grebe

2 Great Blue Herons

several Double Crested Cormorants

4 Kestrels

1 Say's Phoebe

several Killdeer

tons of Meadowlarks

still a couple of Horned Larks

and the usual magpies, flickers, robins
