Hi all Did my usual "water tour" of Greeley. Some shallower ponds frozen. "Ginormous" flocks of geese flying around town. Of note:
Still quite a few pelicans and cormorants around
35th Ave West Gravel Ponds are the "hot" spot (second pond (full of birds) is .25m west on trail and is usually the only open water during winter around here)
Canada Goose - 1,000s
Cackling Goose - 100s
Snow and Ross's Goose - 400+
Greater White-fronted Goose - 2
35th Ave East Gravel Pond
Mute Swan - 2
Herring Gull
Bald Eagle - 2
Lots of Common Goldeneye, Lesser Scaup, Ruddy Duck, Common Merganser
