This morning I saw and photographed a Gunnison Sage Grouse beside Why 149 between Blue Mesa Cutoff (Rd 26) and Sappinero Mesa Rd (Rd 25). Then while birding Sappinero Mesa Rd about mile 7, a large and loaded timber truck caused 7 more probable Gunnison Sage Grouse to flush.
